Pantai Sepat is popular for its beautiful beaches, located some 14km from Kuantan town center. It is also a typical Malay fishing village apart from its popular outing spot, mainly for a picnic, It is along the way south to the Royal Town and in those days, it is was the main route to travel from Kuantan to Tanjung Lumpur, where despite both places are a stone throw away, however it was separated by a river of Sungai Kuantan. The wooden-made traditional Malay houses are one of the attractions for the visitors, with a large hectare of the padi field. Cows, sheep, and goats are easily seen because most villagers are still active in animal farming as their source of income.
