Trekking In Pahang

Jerantut

Bukit Buluh which is located in Felda Padang Piol, Jerantut Pahang has its own uniqueness when the trees in the area mostly have reddish stems. Because of its uniqueness is also Bukit Buluh known as Red Forest for most climbers.

Kenong Rimba Park is located at the fringe of Taman Negara on its eastern and northern boundaries. This green precinct covers a sprawling 128 square kilometers of Pahang's tropical rainforest.

To reach Lata Meraung, you take route 64 from Jerantut, heading West. After a few km, there is a turnoff to the left. Follow this road, it passes an Orang Asli village. Follow the signs to the Golf Club. Just before you reach the Golf course, there is a trail to the right with a bridge, which probably also leads to the fall.

The Lentang Recreational Forest is within easy reach of Kuala Lumpur. Although there are no real waterfalls, the park is a pleasant spot for an outing. To reach the place, just take the highway to Kuantan and take the exit to Lentang.

Tasik Biru is located in a town called Bukit Ibam, just 15 minutes away from Muadzam Shah in Pahang.

Nenek Semukut, the twin peaks rising from the rainforest at Tioman's southern end, is known as 'Dragon Horns'. Climbing the steep trail to the saddle between the peaks from Kampung Mukut usually takes around two hours, a clamber rewarded by spectacular views.
