NESTLED within the embrace of Sungai Lembing in Pahang, the Rainbow Waterfall stands as a marvel of natural beauty, drawing seekers of peace and nature enthusiasts. Formerly the world's deepest tin mine, this locale has transformed into a sanctuary celebrated for its tranquil allure and the ethereal play of light that graces its name.

Earning its name from the captivating rainbow that dances across its cascades, the Rainbow Waterfall became an internet sensation, propelling it to fame. TripAdvisor's accolade as Malaysia's most beautiful waterfall in 2017 only cemented its reputation. Visitors are often seen basking in the falls' crystal-clear waters, capturing the unforgettable moments when the 250-meter cascade refracts light into a spectrum of colours.

Reaching the Rainbow Waterfall is an adventure in itself. Whether by a rugged 4x4 ride through the forest or a hearty trek, the journey is as memorable as the destination. Local 'taxis' – modified 4x4 vehicles – offer a practical and thrilling ride to the campsite at Lubuk Beruk. From there, a 45-minute trek across rivers and up steep trails is required to witness the waterfall in its full glory.

CAMPING AND GUIDES

For the intrepid, overnight camping at Lubuk Beruk invites an immersive experience amidst nature's chorus. Those preferring a day trip are advised to engage a certified tour guide for a safe and informative trekking experience.

When planning a family outing to Rainbow Waterfall, prioritize safety with suitable attire and sturdy footwear. Waterproof bags are essential for electronics, and a minimal approach to packing will make the trek less burdensome. Timing is crucial – aim to arrive between 9 and 10 am for the best chance to view the waterfall's rainbow.
